Matthew D Gilpin is an Award Winning writer/director and based in Bristol and London, UK. He has been working with moving image for the past 10 years, with a focus on darker material, especially crime and horror. His films The Docks, For Milo and Better Than You have won awards at film festivals internationally. His next film The Black Pill is currently in post-production.
Matthew is also an experienced actor, having trained with the Youth Cinema Foundation, Bristol Meisner and the renowned acting teacher Scott Williams at the Impulse Company. Alongside various short films he also appeared in an episode of Black Mirror.
In 2023 he self-published Secrets and Shadows, a neo-noir urban fantasy comic book, with art by Agata Babinska.
